Part 5 provides excellent material on medical missions – it brings together complete runs of the following CMS Medical Journals:

• Mercy and Truth, 1897-1921, and its successors The Mission Hospital, 1922-1939, and The Way of Healing, 1940.
• The Medical Mission Quarterly, 1892-1896.
• Preaching and Healing, 1900-1906, which was the printed Annual Report of the Medical Missions Auxiliary. 

Mercy and Truth covers the extensive medical work carried out by the CMS in East and West Africa, the Middle East, India, China, Japan and Canada.  There is lots of information about particular hospitals and institutions, the staff, doctors and patients.  Each issue has a detailed index of contents and illustrations.
