The aim of this microfilm project is to make available a wide variety of Gothic texts, placing a special emphasis on material that is extremely rare or difficult to consult. To bring this within the compass of most libraries this has been divided into a number of thematic groupings.
Parts 3 & 4 cover 'Gothic Terror: Radcliffe and Her Imitators.' This third part features 96 volumes containing 30 key works, ranging from first editions of The Italian Marauders by Hannah Cowley and The Monk of Udolpho by T J Horsley Curties, to less familiar texts by authors such as James Boaden, Elizabeth Bonhote, Eliza Bromley, Mary Charlton, Catherine Cuthbertson, Sarah Green, Ann Hatton, Elizabeth Helme, Sarah Lansdell and Mary Meeke.
