Part 4: Gothic Terror: Radcliffe and her Imitators - Pickard to Wilkinson
The aim of this microfilm project is to make available a wide variety of Gothic texts, placing a special emphasis on material that is extremely rare or difficult to consult. To bring this within the compass of most libraries this has been divided into a number of thematic groupings.
Parts 3 & 4 cover 'Gothic Terror: Radcliffe and Her Imitators.' This fourth part features 83 volumes containing 25 key works, ranging from first editions of The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe and Clermont by Regina Maria Roche, to less familiar texts by authors such as Mary Pickard, Mary Ann Radcliffe, Mary Robinson, Rosalina St Clair, Catherine Selden, Eleanor Sleath, Catherine Smith, Charlotte Smith, Louisa Stanhope and Sarah Wilkinson.
