The material here is the continuation of the alphabetical sequence of Original Papers for the West African Mission (Sierra Leone) for 1820-1880, which started in Part 2. Organised by surname of missionary, it runs from Rev Edward Dicker to Rev William Young.

• There is good material on the work of Rev Christian Schlenker and Rev Henry Townsend.
• The papers can be studied to examine the process of establishing an independent Sierra Leone church. Native people were encouraged to take their full share in running the church.
